A people-powered nonprofit working at the grassroots to heal, educate, and empower communities across India since 2012.
Heal India Foundation was born in 2012 when a group of five friends — doctors, teachers, and social workers — took a road trip through rural Rajasthan and witnessed firsthand the stark gap between India's progress and the reality of its villages.
They saw children who had never seen a classroom. Mothers who had never visited a doctor. Farmers who had no access to clean water. That trip changed everything. Within months, they had registered a nonprofit and launched their first free medical camp.
Over 12 years, that small group of five has grown into a movement of 2,800+ volunteers, 6 active programs, and impact across 320+ villages in 10 states. The belief that started it all remains unchanged: every Indian deserves dignity, health, and opportunity.
To improve the quality of life of underserved communities across India by delivering accessible healthcare, quality education, sustainable livelihoods, and social empowerment — with compassion, integrity, and respect for every individual's dignity.
An India where every citizen — regardless of where they are born, their caste, gender, or economic background — has equal access to health, education, and opportunity, and where communities are empowered to drive their own sustainable development.
These six principles shape every program we run, every partnership we form, and every decision we make.
We lead with empathy — every decision is guided by the dignity and well-being of the communities we serve.
We operate with full transparency, accountability, and honesty in all our actions and communications.
We seek creative, sustainable solutions that address root causes rather than just symptoms of inequality.
We believe every person — regardless of caste, gender, or geography — deserves equal access to opportunity.
We work alongside communities, not for them — co-creating solutions rooted in local knowledge and culture.
We build programs that outlast our presence, empowering communities to carry the torch forward.
Heal India Foundation was founded with a small team of 5 volunteers and a vision to serve rural India.
Launched our first free medical camp in Rajasthan, reaching over 500 patients in a single day.
Opened 10 learning centres across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, enrolling 1,200 children in the first year.
Launched skill-development workshops for women, training over 3,000 women in vocational trades.
Mobilised 800+ volunteers to distribute food, medicines, and essentials to 50,000+ families during the pandemic.
Celebrated a decade of service — 40,000+ lives touched, 250+ villages reached, 6 active programs.
Planted 100,000 trees across 5 states and launched clean-water initiatives in 30 villages.
